About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Dignity Health. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and physical therapy treatments, as planned and directed by a registered Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatments or portions thereof, as planned and directed by a registered Physical Therapist, to a patient population with varied diagnoses.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in the performance of complex tests and treatment procedures.
  • Follow established procedures in the use of physical treatment modalities, therapeutic exercise, and the use of adaptive equipment, utilizing evidence-based practice as appropriate.
  • Provide patient/family/Care Partner/caregiver education, initiating as soon as feasible after admission.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing PTA, including demonstrated teaching responsibilities, and evidence of continued education.
  • Current State of California licensure required.
  • Current AHA BLS and Fire Safety cards required.
