Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments and reassessments of patients to inform care strategies.
- Develop and document nursing diagnoses and care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Implement nursing interventions and evaluate their effectiveness in achieving desired health outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, fostering a collaborative approach to health management.
- Exhibit leadership by guiding and mentoring nursing staff and ensuring adherence to high standards of care.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the dynamic needs of the unit, including availability for all shifts.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong verbal communication skills to articulate nursing concepts and practices.
- Demonstrated accountability in providing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care.
- Cognitive and practical skills necessary for delivering age-appropriate nursing care.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Licensure: Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama.
