Job Summary
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Consumers Energy, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data platform using Databricks and other technologies within Microsoft Azure cloud. This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday assigned to the SERVICE CENTER located in CITY, MI.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide input into the strategic technology direction for our data platform & stay informed of the latest Databricks and platform engineering innovations.
  • Design, implement, manage, and optimize data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration across various systems.
  • Utilize scripting to automate and remove manual steps and improve user satisfaction.
  • Work with server, network, and IS groups to resolve technical problems.
  • Assist end-users and other IT groups with third-level technical support.
  • Evaluate, Design, Plan and configure infrastructure, applications, monitor and management tools to best meet the company needs, and information security guidelines.
  • Monitor vulnerabilities, plan and implement all remediation steps to meet Information security requirements.
