Job Summary

Komatsu is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the construction, mining, and industrial machinery markets. As a Welder I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize metal core GMAW (gas, metal arc welding) to join metal parts on subassembly and production lines.
  • Interpret and read drawings to ensure proper weld sequencing and sizing.
  • Inspect work and report any defects or discrepancies to supervision.
  • Position and clamp components preparatory to welding.
  • Operate overhead cranes, Jib cranes, or forklifts safely to move and set large parts.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year welding experience required; welding certification preferred.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Some standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling; ability to lift a maximum of forty pounds.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company.
  • Incumbent may be required to work overtime as required to meet schedules.
  • Must comply with all environmental, quality, and safety rules, practices, and standards.
