The Gardens at Stevens

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Director to join our team at The Gardens at Stevens, a skilled nursing facility in Stevens, PA.

The Dietary Director will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This includes ensuring quality food service is provided at all times, directing, evaluating, and monitoring staff assigned to the department, and performing probationary and annual evaluations of employees' performances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run day-to-day operations within the department
  • Manage food service employees, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management
  • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make authorized food substitutes
  • Review care plans to ensure residents' dietary needs are being met
  • Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from a registered dietitian
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth operation within the facility
Requirements:
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification
  • Previous long-term care experience is desirable
  • Prior experience in Geriatric Food Service is preferred
  • Prior management experience is preferred
