Role Responsibilities
As a program manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering all facets of extensive, multi-disciplinary initiatives and feature domains. Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the lifecycle of feature development, from architectural design to implementation and validation.
Key tasks include:
- Proactively identifying, prioritizing, and resolving program challenges.
- Communicating new feature initiatives, significant issues, risks, and critical milestones to senior leadership.
- Managing the roadmap, priorities, and timelines for various technologies.
- Facilitating continuous enhancements to program management methodologies.
- Working in partnership with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Marketing teams.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years in program or product management within software development.
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives across major technical domains: Software, Hardware, Silicon, and Quality Assurance.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences, including engineers, managers, and executives.
- Proficient in identifying risks, formulating mitigation strategies, and driving resolutions.
- A solid technical foundation coupled with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices and related dependencies.
- Strong leadership abilities with a talent for motivating team members.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range. This allows for growth as you develop in your role. The base salary range for this position is between $136,300 and $248,700, influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees can also participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement.
