Position Overview:
Luminis Health is seeking dedicated providers for locum tenens opportunities in our Intensive Care Unit. Each physician will manage a patient load of approximately 10-15 individuals daily, depending on the current census.
Shift Details:
This role involves scheduled shifts rather than on-call duties, with night staff available on-site. While the majority of coverage will occur during weekends and nights, day shifts are also part of the requirement.

Facility Information:
The position is within a busy ICU environment, requiring flexibility and readiness to address various patient needs.
Coverage Reason:
We are looking to fill gaps due to staffing vacancies resulting from retirement and changes in clinical efforts.
Daily Schedule:
The schedule requires coverage seven days a week, with rotating shifts between nights and weekends. Shifts are available from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
Call Responsibilities:
Providers will handle in-house admissions and consultations, with a pager system in place for communication.
Workload Overview:
The ICU consists of 30 beds, staffed by a team of 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers, alongside residents. Morning rounds typically last around 90 minutes.
Support Staff:
Our team includes advanced practice providers, residents, pharmacy staff, respiratory therapists, and physical therapists.
EMR System:
We utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Licensing Requirements:
Applicants must hold board certification in critical care and possess a valid medical license.
Credentialing Timeline:
The credentialing process is expected to take between 60 to 90 days.
Decision-Making Process:
The selection process will involve key decision-makers from our medical staff.
COVID-19 Vaccination:
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is mandatory, including the completion of the vaccination series.
