Geographic Information Systems Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Programmer/Analyst to join our team in Helena, Montana. As a key member of the Geographic Data Services Bureau at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, this individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS mapping applications, data development, and workflow management in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional programming and GIS skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently on multiple priorities. The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000 - $110,000 depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, retirement plan, and paid vacation, sick, and holidays. This position may require some travel and occasional irregular hours to meet project deadlines. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in geographic information systems/geography, wildlife or fisheries biology and/or management, natural resources, geography, computer science, or a related field, and at least 5 years of progressive experience in a related profession.
