Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients in designated departments, utilizing established policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Monitor patient reactions and compliance with physician orders, reporting any changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in shared governance, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that maintain high standards of care.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Current California license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS, PALS certification.
- PEARS American Heart Association certification.
- Basic ECG interpretation.
- One year recent experience in a specialty area, such as ED or ICU.
- Two years of critical care experience within the past 5 years in an acute care setting.
The work environment for this position is a fast-paced and dynamic hospital setting. The Registered Nurse will be exposed to a wide variety of patients and situations, requiring adaptability and flexibility.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this position include frequent walking, standing, and sitting, as well as occasional lifting, bending, and stooping. The Registered Nurse must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
