Job Summary:

Merit Health Rankin is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg team. As a Registered Nurse at Merit Health Rankin, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients.

About the Job:

  • FT | 7p | Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday| MedSurg |
  • Assess patient needs, formulate a plan of care, and provide care based on identified needs and physician orders according to standards, policy, and procedure.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans, communicate and collaborate with other team members to facilitate delivery of care.
  • Responsible for the patient for whom care is provided, self, and peers as professional nurses, the charge nurse, clinical supervisor, unit director, and CNO.
  • Supervise LPNs and unlicensed personnel and may serve as a preceptor to orientees and nursing graduates.
  • Work effectively toward collaborative relationships with medical staff and other members of the healthcare team and administrative personnel.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with ancillary departments and the entire healthcare team.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally, in writing, and utilization of the EMR.
  • Continuously provide expertise to the staff by assessing the quality and quantity of care and evaluating and intervening in the management of care problems, as necessary.
  • Oversee the unit's operations in the absence of the Director or CNO and collaborate with them on an as needed basis.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • 3x12s, varying days.

Requirements:

  • MS RN license.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred.
  • BLS certification, ACLS preferred.
  • New Grads welcome.

INDNUR

Experience:

  • One year cardiac telemetry, cardiopulmonary, and/or MedSurg nursing experience is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Associates or better in Nursing.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • L-MS-RN License.
  • C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac.

Preferred:

  • C-AHA ACLS.
