Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

At MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Breathing Specialist to join our team at a reputable acute-care hospital in Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Care Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and develop personalized respiratory care plans.
  • Respiratory Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient respiratory needs and create effective treatment interventions.
  • Shift Schedule: Work night shifts with rotation every other weekend, completing three 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Environmental Support: Review patients' home or work environments and provide recommendations to support respiratory health and independence.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA and NIOSH safety standards in the work environment.

Requirements:
  • Licensure: Active Respiratory Care license in Texas is required.
  • Certification Maintenance: Maintain current certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) through the Continuing Competency Program (CCP).
  • Graduate Therapist Requirements: Obtain CRT certification and pursue RRT certification within one year of graduation.
  • Clinical Certifications: Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to patient interaction, and obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months.
