About the Role
At Magnolia Plantations & Gardens, we are seeking a skilled Wildlife Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our animal care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to a diverse range of animals in our wildlife center.

About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual with a degree in a relevant field such as biology, ecology, or animal science. Your experience working with captive wildlife, preferably in a zoo, aquarium, or nature center setting, is essential. A strong knowledge of the natural history of the southeastern United States, including identification, ecology, and conservation, is also required.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch care and husbandry for a variety of animal species, including reptiles, birds of prey, and carnivores.
- Engage with guests and provide educational experiences, highlighting unique adaptations and behaviors of native species found in the region.
- Assist with special events, tours, and animal encounters while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain animal enclosures, perform daily tasks, and develop processes to optimize animal care and well-being.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to connect with diverse audiences and present information effectively. Proficiency in using technology to streamline processes and collect data is also necessary. Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers an estimated annual salary of $50,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401K retirement plan matching, and employee discounts on attractions and services within Magnolia Plantations & Gardens.
