Job Opportunity

Dekker is seeking skilled Drafters to contribute to our mission supporting work at various government installations. This role offers the chance to work on technical and sustainable projects, making firm-wide contributions to projects ranging from multifamily housing to commercial and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using design software, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings and specifications, adhering to relevant building codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings.
  • Engage in project work with responsibilities as assigned, providing consultation and team collaboration in the planning, design, and coordination of projects.
Requirements
  • This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM area.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Associate's degree in drafting, architecture, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Knowledge of additional design software (e.g., SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.
  • Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
