Xpansiv Connect Application Developer

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Xpansiv Connect application, one of Xpansiv's core product offerings
  • Act as a backup to the technical lead for the application, performing tasks such as task allocation, prioritization, and resolution of technical issues
  • Perform code reviews of junior developers
  • Collaborate with Xpansiv's head of architecture to develop and maintain architectural designs for system enhancements and improvements
  • Interact with quality assurance engineers to triage and resolve code defects
  • Work with DevOps engineers to perform builds, releases, and deployments, as well as other infrastructure-related tasks
  • Contribute to building an engineering culture that consistently produces high-quality, scalable, and architecturally sound systems that align with the company's business needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of development experience with Java/Java Enterprise technologies
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical lead or a backup

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, covering interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage work with team members located in different time zones and with varying skillsets
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical, business, and market concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Proven ability to execute calmly under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Extensive experience with Java 8, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and container solutions such as Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with software architecture and design, including Service-Oriented Architectures and design patterns
