We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our response activities for the region surrounding a nuclear power plant. As an EP Coord II, you will conduct offsite radiological emergency preparedness planning, training, and operations. You will develop and maintain state operational radiological response plans, coordinate with local government organizations, and assess training needs. Your expertise in emergency management fundamentals and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities- Lead response activities for the region surrounding a nuclear power plant
- Conduct offsite radiological emergency preparedness planning, training, and operations
- Develop and maintain state operational radiological response plans
- Coordinate with local government organizations
- Assess training needs and advise local officials
- Monitor local governments' emergency preparedness training and compliance with state and federal laws
- Participate in the development, execution, and evaluation of radiological emergency preparedness exercises
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience in planning, training, or exercises
- Computer literacy
- South Carolina Certified Emergency Manager certification preferred
