This position involves running the daily operations of the maintenance shop while leading a team of technicians to maintain a fleet of diesel-powered trucks. Your expertise will enable you to understand service-related issues, maintain high standards in maintenance settings, and ensure all safety standards are being upheld.
Key responsibilities include continually focusing on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet and maintenance activities, including cost control, employee development, and high training and safety standards. You will also review capital equipment requisitions in line with Corporate guidelines and objectives.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements, managing effective utilization of vehicle assets, conducting fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met, and overseeing personnel needs of the department. Your input will be crucial in termination, compensation, and promotion decisions, as well as providing training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual with five (5) years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of waste management practices. As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
