Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at FlexStaff Careers. As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiologic and psychosocial health status, develop individualized care plans, and prioritize interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications, including IV drips and IVP medications, as per department policy and procedure.
  • Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques, and offer emotional support and guidance throughout the care process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Documentation and Quality Improvement: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing, required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
  • Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
  • Certifications: BLS/NRP required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
