Museum Ambassador

Cranbrook Educational Community is seeking a Visitor Services Representative - School Groups to provide exceptional visitor experiences for school groups visiting our campus.

The Visitor Services Representative - School Groups will be responsible for welcoming and onboarding school groups, escorting groups to programs, monitoring hallways for safety, and assisting with Science Shop sales. This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position working less than 20 hours per week.

• Deliver a friendly, cheerful, and professional demeanor to all museum visitors, staff, and volunteers.
• Provide check-in assistance for school groups at either the Main or West Entrances while maintaining a calm and welcoming manner.
• Follow professional attire protocols as set forth by museum dress code.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and performance standards set forth in Cranbrook's employee handbook.

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be comfortable walking and moving throughout the museum for the entire shift and be able to lift and move 20 pounds.
• Ability to work with the public, school personnel, students, volunteers, and co-workers with ease and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to work flexible, but scheduled, part-time hours including weekends and holidays.
• Computer experience required; specialized software training is provided.
