Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Lead Technician to join our team at Firestone Complete Auto Care. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, leading and mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform complex repairs, and provide guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that every customer interaction is positive and that customers are satisfied with the work performed on their vehicles.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and techniques through ongoing training and education.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing complex issues.
  • Certifications: A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required. New hires with external similar qualifications/certifications will have up to 2 years of employment to comply.
  • Education: A Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
