Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist 3 to join our team at Yakima Valley School. As an Occupational Therapist 3, you will play a key role in providing exceptional treatment services to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Occupational Therapy clinical activities, including assessments, treatments, and workplace consultations.
  • Work as a key member of our interdisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of performance standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct consultations to prevent musculoskeletal injuries and adjust job roles for safer, more comfortable work environments.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of services provided, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination.
  • Three years of professional occupational therapy experience.
  • A State of Washington license as an Occupational Therapist or have a valid probational certificate issued by the State of Washington to practice Occupational Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to train direct care staff in conduct activities of daily living programs.
  • Ability to develop, observe and monitor individual dining programs.
  • Ability to maintain records, data, and information in prescribed confidential manner.
  • Ability to plan and develop effective teaching/habilitation/individualized strategies.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise reports, assessment, evaluation, programs and recommendations.
