Davidson County Sheriff's Office: The Nashville Sheriff is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Correctional Officers.
Compensation: Upon successful completion of the 8-week training academy, the salary will be $52,471.07. After the 6-month probationary period, the salary will increase to $57,958.26.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of inmates.
- Monitoring inmate activities within the facility.
- Conducting thorough searches of cells, inmates, and visitors.
- Documenting incidents and preparing detailed reports.
- Managing disciplinary actions and incident reports.
- Overseeing inmate work assignments and activities.
- Coordinating the feeding and care of inmates.
- Providing security for inmates during transport to hospitals, courts, and other locations.
- Assisting with the processing of inmates as required.
- Transporting inmates to various designated locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Employee Benefits:
Metro provides a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees who consistently work 20 or more hours per week. Coverage begins on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees may adjust their benefits within 60 days of a qualifying life event or during the Annual Enrollment period. Optional benefits are also available for selection.
