We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at Young's Convenience Store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- **Team Leadership**: Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- **Recruitment and Training**: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
- **Inventory Management**: Oversee the receipt, storage, and stocking of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
- **Financial Management**: Manage store finances, including cash handling, bank deposits, and reconciliation of sales and expenses.
- **Customer Service**: Ensure exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- **Store Maintenance**: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- **Age**: 18 years or older (21 years or older in some states)
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of retail management experience
- **Skills**: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, basic math skills, and proficiency in English
- **Certifications**: Food Safety Certification (if required by state or local regulations)
