Job Summary

At Owensboro Health 2, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patient needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring that patient care is well-coordinated and effective.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, taking into account their age, culture, and willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required.
  • Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients safely and effectively.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
