Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating new patients and developing plans of care
  • Treating patients and educating them on their condition and progress
  • Monitoring patient response to treatment and modifying as necessary
  • Exhibiting behaviors and practices that foster effective professional and therapeutic relationships
  • Cooperating with staff, management, and physicians to achieve goals and maintain good employee and interdepartmental relations
  • Consulting with treating physicians and cultivating effective relationships with referral providers
  • Directing and supervising treatments provided by aides, assistants, and/or techs
  • Documenting patient evaluation, re-evaluations, daily progress reports, treatments, and discharges of services in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the implementation of and compliance with all ORA policies, procedures, health and safety regulations
  • Providing physical therapy services to patients in accordance with PT guidelines for professional practices and per ORA clinical policies and standards
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Iowa and/or Illinois
  • Previous outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome
