Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel RN specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing. This role involves working day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a commitment of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
Contract Duration:
13 weeks
Licensing Requirements:
Must possess an active Indiana RN license.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is required.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Competence in starting IVs and administering Nasal Cannula
- Current BLS certification
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR is mandatory
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
- Previous charge nurse experience
Patient Care Focus:
This position involves caring for patients with medical-surgical diagnoses, including but not limited to COVID-19, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, and other symptom-based conditions requiring further evaluation.
Vaccination Policy:
Effective immediately, the COVID-19 vaccine is mandatory for all traveling nurses. Exemptions for medical or religious reasons will be considered with appropriate documentation.
Charge Nurse Responsibilities:
Depending on operational needs, there may be a requirement to fulfill charge nurse duties, with training and resources provided.
Floating Requirements:
Yes, floating may be necessary.
Unit Information:
The Medical Surgical unit is located adjacent to the Emergency Department, primarily serving observation patients.
