Job Summary

The Surgical Nurse is a critical member of the perioperative team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for surgical patients
  • Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, handling medical instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Provide education to patients and families on surgical procedures and post-operative care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Document patient care and outcomes accurately and timely
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse (ASN)
  • Minimum two years of experience as a circulating or scrub nurse in multiple specialties
  • American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Five or more years of experience as a circulating or scrub nurse in multiple specialties
