Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently interpret and analyze shop and ISO drawings along with relevant terminology.
  • Effectively communicate complex instructions to junior technicians and ensure proper task execution.
  • Assist in planning workflows and articulate requirements to supervisors.
  • Comply with established safety protocols.
  • Participate in training on safe work practices and contribute to maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Develop skills in related areas as necessary and support the growth of team members in rigging and machinery operation.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of piping systems and the necessary tools for this role.
Daily and Monthly Duties:
  • Examine drawings and make necessary updates or revisions.
  • Conduct inspections of safety equipment and tools.
  • Certify adherence to welding procedures and maintain accurate log records.
  • Ensure personal training certifications are current as required.
  • Oversee the maintenance of welding equipment.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in geometry, mathematics, or mechanical operations/fabrication is preferred.
  • Willingness to work shifts.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipe fitting, tank construction, steel erection, or pressure vessel fabrication.
  • At least 2 years of experience interpreting mechanical, pipe, and vessel drawings.
  • 1 year of experience operating overhead cranes.
  • 1 year of experience operating forklifts.
  • A valid and clear driver's license is mandatory.
