Electrical Field Specialist

At Knobelsdorff Enterprises, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Journeyworker to join our team. As a Field Journeyworker, you will play a critical role in the construction of Photovoltaic (Solar) arrays, working closely with our team to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the installation and maintenance of Photovoltaic (Solar) arrays, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Work closely with the team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest electrical codes and best practices.
- Track and report annual electrical work experience and ongoing education for annual registration renewal.
- Work in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to positively identify wire colors and work with hand and power tools.
- Gain experience in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Learn how to bend conduit by and with hydraulic bending machines.
- Interpret construction documents, specifications, verbal, and written instructions.
- Follow Knobelsdorff's safety policies and procedures.
- Will be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as some out-of-town projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyworker eligible hours of electrical experience, with 8000+ hours worked in the electrical field, with verifiable hours.
- 4+ years of Photovoltaic (solar) experience preferred.
- Self-starter and team player.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be available to travel extensively (up to 100%) within regional states, including overnight stays for up to weeks at a time if required.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Must be capable of working in inclement conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be physically capable of manually digging and back-filling holes and trenches.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
