Job Title: Group Exercise Coordinator

Job Summary

The Group Exercise Coordinator is responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, supervising, and evaluating group exercise instructors and specialty instructors for the Health and Wellness Department. This position requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate group exercise instructors and specialty instructors.
  • Evaluate the quality of group exercise programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote healthy lifestyles and wellness within the community.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Department to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and the community.
Requirements
  • Ability to multitask and work productively under limited supervision.
  • Experience with personal training and instructing group exercise classes.
  • Experience implementing nutrition or athletics programs preferred.
  • Degree in health and wellness, kinesiology, fitness/exercise science, or equivalent preferred.
  • Current group exercise certification from a recognized organization.
  • Ability to receive and maintain CPR, first aid, AED, blood borne pathogen, and child abuse training certifications.
  • 3+ years of practical experience in health and wellness preferred.
