Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Product Owner to join our team at ADNET Systems, Inc. in Greenbelt, MD.

About the Job

This is a fully remote position with occasional in-person meetings and conference attendances required.

The Agile Product Owner will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-value cloud infrastructure solutions that align with stakeholder needs and the organization's strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Product Backlog Ownership:
    • Define and prioritize the product backlog for the Science Cloud Infrastructure team based on Science Cloud stakeholders' requirements.
    • Ensure that backlog items are clearly defined, well-structured, and contain appropriate acceptance criteria.
    • Continuously refine and adjust priorities in line with changing customer needs, compliance requirements, and technical constraints.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Science Cloud customers, cloud engineers, platform architects, DevOps teams, and leadership to understand customer requirements, compliance requirements, and technical dependencies.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the cloud infrastructure team, facilitating communication between the team and Science Cloud customers.
    • Ensure alignment between product vision, customer needs, and engineering priorities.
    • Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather feedback and align stakeholders.
    • Ensure that the product vision and roadmap are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement & Agile Practices:
    • Promote Agile principles within the team and encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback loops.
    • Facilitate and participate in PI Planning, system demos, and other agile ceremonies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience using agile frameworks; at least 3 years' experience in the Product Owner role.
  • Desired: certifications in agile frameworks (e.g. SAFE, Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Science-domain knowledge/experience would be ideal.
