Job Summary

The Methodist Hospital Texsan is seeking a skilled Echo Technician PRN to join our team. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac exams under the direction of our Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and validate physician orders for exams, ensuring patient consent and proper equipment operation.
  • Perform echocardiograms, stress echo, and TEEs, applying critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions and provide additional views as needed.
  • Assist with head-up tilt table testing, carotid imaging, and other related examinations.
  • Maintain accurate patient reports, including previous images, presenting images to reading physicians, and entering proper patient charges.
Requirements
  • Registry eligibility for RDCS/RDMS-FE from ARDMS or RCS from CCI.
  • Completion of an Associate's degree or two-year patient-care related allied health education program, or a CAAHEP-accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
  • Minimum of one year of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience or six months of full-time clinical experience with a Bachelor's degree.
