Position Overview :
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Grove City is a specialized 7-bed facility catering to a diverse range of critical care patients. Our nursing staff is equipped with advanced telehealth capabilities and has access to AHN Virtual Intensivists, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

AHN Grove City is a 67-bed community hospital dedicated to delivering outstanding healthcare services to the surrounding regions, including Mercer, Butler, and Venango counties, since its establishment in 1978. It is recognized as a Level IV Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs and delivering high-quality nursing care to individuals and families. This role includes:

  • Providing leadership within a professional practice environment.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance team performance through mentorship and support.
  • Delegating tasks based on patient needs and staff competencies.
  • Ensuring a safe environment while considering patient conditions and intervention complexities.
  • Offering constructive feedback to peers regarding clinical practices.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and improve clinical care.

Patient Safety and Quality Initiatives :

The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in promoting patient safety and participates in department-specific quality initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing the nursing process to create individualized care plans.
  • Monitoring patient conditions and communicating changes to the healthcare team.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and seeking opportunities for learning.
  • Participating in patient satisfaction initiatives and addressing patient concerns.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of an RN training program and possession of a valid PA RN license or application for a practice permit.
  • Current CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in a relevant specialty area.
