About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As an Emergency Medicine Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of licensed Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs, and other medical services.
  • Perform IV starts and blood draws, splint application, wound care, and other medical procedures as permitted by state law.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain point-of-care laboratory equipment, including EKGs.
  • Assist NP/PAs in daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit, including documentation and supply management.
Requirements
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification, including Basic Certification with North Carolina and EMT License.
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and experience using an i-STAT device are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, BLS certification, and ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
