About the Role

As a Tire and Battery Center Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a critical role in providing safe and efficient service in both sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member's expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentoring new technicians.
  • Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality.
  • Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training.
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas, complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.

Requirements
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Auto service industry experience and retail experience preferred.
