Electrical Engineer Job Description

Ryde Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating electrical systems for large and complex buildings, including dual redundant power distribution systems with 100% backup generator power.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems for large and complex buildings, including dual redundant power distribution systems with 100% backup generator power.
  • Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural departments.
  • Support Project and Construction Managers.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to prepare written reports, electrical engineering construction documents, construction specifications, project budget cost, and review of contractor-prepared equipment drawings and details.
  • Conduct field visits, final inspections, and prepare written punch lists.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings, and details for electrical equipment vendors to obtain pricing.
  • Develop construction drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Perform and write feasibility and facility condition assessment reports.
  • Experience with energy code analysis, compliance review, including the use of ComCheck.
  • Write/edit/check MasterSpec specifications.
  • Write/edit/review commissioning scripts for complex systems.
  • Perform local and national code analysis and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Ability to acquire PE licenses in other states as needed. Sign and seal drawings as appropriate.
  • Assist and provide guidance to junior electrical engineering team members.
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • EIT certification required, PE License with NCEES council record is desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
