Diesel Technician/Mechanic - Roadside Assistance


Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Fleet Jobs. As a key member of our roadside assistance team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers who require emergency repairs on the side of the road.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls and diagnose issues with diesel engines and other heavy equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Restock and maintain our roadside assistance vehicles with necessary tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of customer issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices in diesel engine repair.


Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Specialized training in diesel engine repair and maintenance a plus.
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools and equipment required.
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Regular, predictable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
