Recreation Aide Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Recreation Aide in the City of Akron's Downtown Operations Division.

In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Recreation Supervisor to provide general assistance for recreation programs, services, and initiatives. This includes assisting with program and activity leadership, responding to the public, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities will include gathering supplies, assisting with event setup and teardown, and performing general maintenance tasks. You will also be responsible for promoting the City's programs and services through various marketing channels.

The successful candidate will have a strong ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and ages. You will work closely with the recreation team to ensure seamless delivery of programs and services, providing support as needed.
