Position Overview

The Director of Med/Surge/Tele is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and operational management of the unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. This role emphasizes leadership in nursing practices, focusing on high-quality patient outcomes, service excellence, education, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the nursing department, aligning activities with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with healthcare leaders and administrative staff to enhance patient care services.
  • Provide administrative and functional supervision to nursing leaders and support personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with current nursing licensure requirements and maintain standards of practice.
Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and have a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential for effective collaboration with administrators, physicians, and all members of the healthcare team.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in computer applications, including Word and Excel, is required, along with the ability to analyze and extract data. Previous supervisory experience is mandatory.
