Position Overview:
Boulder Community Health is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab. This role involves delivering direct patient care and assisting physicians during intricate cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Electrophysiology Lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care adhering to established nursing practices and standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to enhance patient care quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of pre-procedural tests to ensure patient safety, promptly reporting any irregularities to the cardiologist.
  • Continuously monitor patient conditions for immediate recognition and management of any changes.
  • Administer intravenous sedatives for procedural sedation and adjust medications as necessary.
  • Act as the circulator during procedures, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Provide post-procedural care, maintaining arterial and/or venous hemostasis until the patient is transferred to the next level of care.
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of medical equipment to guarantee safe and accurate test administration.
  • Maintain up-to-date licenses and certifications as required.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid Colorado RN license in good standing.
  • BLS certification required within the conditional period.
  • ACLS certification required within the conditional period.
  • Preferred certifications include CCRN, CVRN, and/or RCIS for Cath Lab; CCRN, RCES, and/or CEPS for EP Lab.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an Acute Care setting, with one year in Critical Care, Cardiac Cath Lab, and/or Electrophysiology Lab preferred.
