Position Summary:

We are in search of a qualified Journeyman Millwright to contribute to our operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the installation, assembly, and upkeep of industrial machinery and equipment. This role is well-suited for a proficient millwright who thrives in a mechanical environment and excels at troubleshooting various systems. We welcome travelers, offering hotel accommodations and a daily allowance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation & Assembly:
    • Execute the installation and assembly of industrial machinery, ensuring precise alignment and secure fittings.
    • Perform leveling, aligning, and fitting tasks utilizing hoists, jacks, hand tools, and power tools.
    • Dismantle and remove outdated equipment as necessary for repairs or upgrades.
  • Maintenance & Repair:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and mechanical system issues, conducting repairs or replacements as needed.
    • Carry out routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
    • Replace worn or defective components, including bearings, gears, and motors, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Machinery Operation:
    • Operate tools and machines to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
    • Calibrate and test machinery to confirm proper and efficient operation.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
    • Engage in safety meetings and training sessions to promote workplace safety.
    • Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work in conjunction with other trades and team members to ensure effective task coordination.
    • Communicate clearly with supervisors and project managers to meet project objectives.
    • Assist in planning and organizing tasks for optimal resource utilization.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman-level experience as a millwright, with a minimum of 4-5 years in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical skills with a background in machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proficient in using precision tools and equipment for alignment and installation tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in industrial settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary based on experience, with additional compensation for traveling personnel, including lodging and a daily allowance. Further benefits may be available depending on the applicant's qualifications and company policies.
