Position Summary:We are in search of a qualified Journeyman Millwright to contribute to our operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the installation, assembly, and upkeep of industrial machinery and equipment. This role is well-suited for a proficient millwright who thrives in a mechanical environment and excels at troubleshooting various systems. We welcome travelers, offering hotel accommodations and a daily allowance.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation & Assembly:
- Execute the installation and assembly of industrial machinery, ensuring precise alignment and secure fittings.
- Perform leveling, aligning, and fitting tasks utilizing hoists, jacks, hand tools, and power tools.
- Dismantle and remove outdated equipment as necessary for repairs or upgrades.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and mechanical system issues, conducting repairs or replacements as needed.
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
- Replace worn or defective components, including bearings, gears, and motors, and make necessary adjustments.
- Machinery Operation:
- Operate tools and machines to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Calibrate and test machinery to confirm proper and efficient operation.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Engage in safety meetings and training sessions to promote workplace safety.
- Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaboration:
- Work in conjunction with other trades and team members to ensure effective task coordination.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and project managers to meet project objectives.
- Assist in planning and organizing tasks for optimal resource utilization.
- Journeyman-level experience as a millwright, with a minimum of 4-5 years in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong mechanical skills with a background in machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficient in using precision tools and equipment for alignment and installation tasks.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in industrial settings.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Capability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
