Join The Salvation Army Central Territory as a Store Associate and contribute to our mission of serving those in need. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in ensuring customers and donors have a positive experience visiting our store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and sort donated goods, stock merchandise, and assist customers shopping and checking out.
  • Create a positive and enjoyable shopping experience for customers and donors.
  • Operate the cash register accurately, efficiently, and quickly.
  • Perform light cleaning throughout the store and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist customers with loading purchases as requested.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills required and previous experience handling cash a plus.
  • Must pass background checks.
Competencies:
  • Flexible interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
