Job Summary

The Merchandise Handler is a critical role in our distribution and warehouse environment, responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, and distributing products efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload merchandise from trailers, verifying goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Stack and load cartons and other containers for outbound shipment, stocking shelves with goods received.
  • Maintain and verify records of goods received or shipped to facilitate the flow of merchandise through the distribution center.
  • Operate power equipment to move merchandise, utilizing small hand tools, pallet handlers, and hand trucks.
  • Select and pick product for shipment from paper or computerized store order requests, matching inventory to order numbers.
  • Prepare merchandise for shipping using shrink wrap machines or other devices.

Requirements:

  • GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-1 years of experience in Distribution, Warehouse, Supply Chain, or similar industry.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment:

The Merchandise Handler will work in a distribution warehouse environment, potentially exposed to heat, cold, and may work indoors and/or outdoors.

Travel:

Travel may vary in length and duration.
