Job Opportunity:
The Department of Philosophy at Saint Mary's College invites applications for a non-tenure track, two-year visiting assistant professor appointment with the possibility of renewal, to begin in the upcoming academic year.
Teaching Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching seven courses per year, on a semester schedule, to our small group of majors and minors. Opportunities to teach upper-division courses are also available.
Department Overview:
Our department is a small, pluralistic department with interdisciplinary connections to a number of other programs, including Gender and Women's Studies, Justice Studies, Autism Studies, Environmental Studies, Religious Studies and Theology, Data Science, and Neuroscience.
Qualifications:
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. and teaching experience is required. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the life of the department, with some service expectations, but no required research activity.
