We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Modeler/Planner to join our dynamic team in the Southeast Region. As a key member of our Transportation Planning & Operations group, you will work on a variety of public, private, and institutional projects, utilizing your expertise in modeling and analysis to improve our communities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and calibrate traffic microsimulation models to evaluate multiple scenarios and explain the results to clients in an accessible manner.
  • Conduct model validation to required accuracy standards and prepare the documentation.
  • Work with our Southeast teams to assemble and prepare data for model validation and long-range future year travel forecasts.
  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate traffic scenarios, and prepare planning documents and applications.
  • Research and interpret transportation data, community statistics, and demographics to assess the mobility needs of a community.
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda and reports, and deliver analysis findings, concerns, and recommendations in a collaborative fashion.
  • Ability to perform complex analysis of spatial data using GIS technology, and conduct research and correct complex problems with data using spatial and logical analyses.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of planning experience, with 5-8+ years of experience preferred.
  • BS in Planning or related field of study, with a masters degree a plus.
  • Experience with travel demand modeling software, such as Cube Voyager, TransCAD, and PTV VISUM.
  • Technical writing skills and technical presentation skills, with AICP Licensure preferred.
