Cardiothoracic Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Registered Nurse to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando.
About the RoleThe Advanced Cardiothoracic Registered Nurse works in a highly specialized cardiothoracic intensive care unit or operating room, catering to patients requiring constant monitoring and whose clinical conditions are considered critical. This role requires adeptness in responding to changes in patient condition, providing immediate interventions as required, and managing complex medical equipment.
You will be responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups, utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department.
This position requires strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, for patient care planning and forecasting for patient throughput and capacity in the Cardiothoracic Service line.
Requirements- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Department-specific advanced competencies
- Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced life support certification (ACLS) per specialty/unit requirements
$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
