The Revenue Cycle Performance Analyst at Fusion Solutions, LLC plays a crucial role in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of the revenue cycle operations. This position focuses on data assessment, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and executing strategies aimed at boosting revenue generation and operational efficiency across all sectors of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine revenue cycle data to uncover trends, challenges, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) pertinent to revenue cycle efficiency.
- Analyze dashboards, work queues, collections, allowances, and denials to identify patterns and necessary corrective measures.
- Compile reports and presentations for executive leadership regarding revenue cycle metrics and performance insights.
- Collaborate with finance, billing, and coding departments to optimize processes and address issues.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulations and internal standards.
- Propose and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and minimize revenue loss.
- Offer training and support to staff on best practices and new methodologies.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting revenue cycle management.
- Maintain and update departmental manuals as necessary.
- Review aged trial balances to ensure efficient handling of accounts.
- Communicate patient-related information to relevant departments as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory standards, staying updated on federal, state, and local regulations regarding collections.
- Manage the effective utilization of the departmental budget.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in hospital patient access services, including three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Revenue Cycle Representative - CRCR) are advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, and coding is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
- Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving skills.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced understanding of relevant hardware/software and hospital registration/billing systems.
- Proficient in the Epic application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT and ICD.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also accepting guidance on specific assignments.
- Familiarity with billing guidelines.
- Ability to interact positively with colleagues across all departments.
- Professional demeanor.
- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
