Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of riggers and machinery movers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the safe execution of projects.
- Project Management: Conduct site visits, prepare and submit quotes, and maintain clear communication with customers regarding project requirements and timelines.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize high-capacity forklifts, skates, jacks, and other heavy machinery to move equipment and meet customer requirements.
- Best Practices: Stay informed about the latest industry practices in rigging and machinery moving, sharing knowledge with the team to continually improve operations.
- Maintenance Oversight: Ensure proper pre- and post-project inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as directed to support the team and ensure successful project completion.
- Certifications: NCCO Rigger 1, 2, and Signalman qualifications are required.
- Licensing: Class A CDL with no restrictions is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a rigger with at least 3,000 documented rigging hours.
- Skills: Strong mechanical reasoning and spatial awareness, with the ability to assess machinery and shop floors to plan and execute moves effectively.
- Situational Awareness: Ability to anticipate requirements and hazards, and develop on-the-fly solutions to mitigate risks and ensure safe operations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks repeatedly over the course of an 8–10-hour shift.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
