Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team at Wexford Health Sources Inc. As a LPN, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in the assessment of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients.
  • Implement individual treatment programs, utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
  • Administer medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted Illinois Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
