Job Summary

The General Superintendent will oversee all aspects of assigned projects with significant complexity, developing and executing the project plan, managing the team, and planning all construction sequencing to meet project goals. This role will be responsible for managing the largest, most complex stand-alone and/or multiple complex projects from initial planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Culture: Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture, creating awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Project Management: Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for a small project or a major portion of a larger project.
  • Work Planning: Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work, coordinates and manages the care, custody, and control of the project site.
  • Meetings and Communication: Leads various meetings, including daily standup and weekly trade meetings, attends, manages, and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings.
  • Schedule and Budget Management: Creates, manages, changes, and implements the project's schedule as needed, in conjunction with the Project Manager, and may be responsible for tracking and monitoring project budget and costs.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensures quality compliance through the use of specifications, setting quality standards, in-house QA/QC, and outside resources, and supports the project closeouts by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating activities with the owner, architect, and governing authorities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provides input, leads, and executes company and regional key strategic initiatives, and effectively delivers leadership messages to multiple audiences both internally and externally.
  • Training and Development: Participates in the development of relevant company training content, responsible for the selection and development of internal subject matter experts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred).
  • Experience: 12+ years construction experience, 10+ years field supervision experience, experience leading Lean principles on projects (Preferred), experience working on large industrial, data center, semiconductor, or other high-tech related construction projects (Preferred).
