Metrology Technician

Job Summary

This is a SKILLBRIDGE/Career Skills position within KBR's Embedded Metrology Laboratories, supporting Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, and others in various areas, including laboratory site visits, test equipment calibrations, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate and certify test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology using certified laboratory standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fault isolation, adjustment, and repairs using TMDE certified laboratory standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex TMDE and integrated electronic systems using theories of operation, block diagrams, schematics, logic trees, and software diagnostics.
• Accurately record and report maintenance actions using applicable maintenance data collection, resolving group and customer issues, and improving department productivity.
• Conduct uncertainty analysis, develop procedures, and ensure documentation conforms to Quality Systems requirements.
• Perform all assigned duties.

Requirements

• Requires completion of formal training from a military, PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school, or an AS degree or applicable technical training and certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
